Monica is a founder member of Redlees Studios. She was originally a self taught jeweller working in plastics, wire, beads and recycled materials.

In the summer of 1999 Monica completed with distinction a one year BTEC Art & Design course specialising in jewellery.

Her work takes its inspiration from organic forms and marine life patterns combining contrasting metals including gold silver and copper.

Monicas pieces are bold and have a sense of style and originality. Many of the pieces are hollow formed and textured in a variety of ways including etching and milling. She also uses semi-precious stones such as fluorite, rock crystal and jaspers iand unusual cuts and finishes. To add depth to the work many pieces are oxidised or embellished with 18ct gold.
