Born of British parents, Rosie's early years were spent in the then exciting
and cosmopolitan city of Beirut. Later years were spent growing
up in Africa's 'safari capital', Nairobi. Then settling in
England, she finished schooling in Surrey.
As an adult, Rosie has studied Art and Design and is a Cordon Bleu chef.
Art and music have always been an important part in Rosie's life.
Memories of Africa and the Middle East play an important role in her understanding
and love of colour and passion.
Rosie's talents first found expression in 'food design'. Moving
from plate to palette, imagination and colour use remain the twin driving
forces in her work which demonstrate a variety of form and style and the
use of a range of mediums.
Each piece of her work is self-expression rather than being straight forwardly
representational. Since the 'inner eye' is Rosie's chief source
of inspiration, her work is often produced during the tranquillity of
the night when light and form can only be imagined.
