PAINTING
Following the publicity and vulnerability of cows during the BSE and Foot and Mouth crises, Alexandra became interested in these creatures as a subject matter for drawings and paintings.
Initially Alexandra studied the inhabitants of Petersham Meadows and then further afield to farming shows and the countryside. These studies have developed into bold, oil drawings and paintings on canvas, capturing the essence of the cows' 'personalities'.
The scale of the work varies from 30x30 to 200x200cm.

ILLUSTRATION

With diverse creative experience including a degree in textile design, a Master of Arts in Sequential Illustration and lecturing in Art and Design, Alexandra’s illustrations provide an eclectic mix of media and processes with a conceptual approach.
