Nicki Rolls
Nicki Rolls is a multi-disciplinary artist, working in painting, drawing, video and installation. She is currently making large-scale charcoal drawings and paintings of plants that live in the wild, exploring the fragility of plant life on the planet. Nicki has exhibited both nationally and internationally. She has recently had two solo shows, Carbon and Cellulose, RuptureXIBIT, Hampton Wick (May 2023) and
Nothing is Small in Nature, at One Paved Court, Richmond (October 2022). Selected previous group exhibitions include
Pastel Society Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries, London (2023), Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries, London (2022), Searching the Line, Filter4, Basel Switzerland (2017), Colliderscape, APT Gallery, London (2016) and We All Draw @ UAL, Bargehouse, London (2015). She was part of the touring Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2011, at which she gained First Prize Student Award and she was shortlisted for Jerwood Moving Image Award in 2007. She graduated in Fine Art (BA) from Central Saint Martins College of Art, 2005 and MA from Wimbledon College of Art, 2011.
